The Legal Qualification Program for Bankruptcy Practitioners

Program Description
A training program aims at developing the skills, the legal knowledge and the rules of professional conduct related to the management of bankruptcy procedures that are set forth in the bankruptcy law and its Implementing Regulations, and the role of all parties involved (the court, the Bankruptcy Commission, the officeholder, the expert, the lawyer, the debtor, and the creditor).

Target Audience
The program is aimed at bankruptcy professionals, those wishing to practice bankruptcy proceedings, and those wishing to complete the requirements for obtaining the license of Officeholders and experts.

Program Objectives

• Attaining knowledge on the stages of development of bankruptcy laws in the Kingdom.
• Understanding the general legislative framework of the bankruptcy law & its implementing regulations.
• Understanding the objectives of the bankruptcy law and to whom it’s applied on.
• Attaining knowledge about the bankruptcy procedures and the practical steps needed to be taken to pursue these procedures.
• Understanding the role of the judiciary system, the Bankruptcy Commission and officeholders in bankruptcy proceedings.

Program Duration
4 training days - 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM).

Program Fees
SAR 6000 (inclusive of attendance and testing).

Program Certificates

• Attendance Certificate: The trainee will be granted an attendance certificate with an attendance requirement of more than 75% of the course.
• Program Passing Certificate: The trainee will be given a certificate of passing a test which will be held later (Trainees will be notified of the exam schedule).

The objectives of this workshop are to introduce participants to the importance of valuation in supporting bankruptcy officeholders in the management of bankruptcy proceedings, provide an overview of the general framework of international valuation standards, and the key elements for the preparation of valuation reports.
